Have you ever had just one of those days?!?...........
It all started on Sunday when I could not find anything to wear for church. I mean my closet was a wreck from me putting clothes on and throwing them off. This has been the 3rd Sunday in a row I have had a clothes crisis!! I remember just being so frustrated with myself for being this ridiculous trying to pick out an outfit. As we were driving off, I realized Quinn had no socks on, no jacket, and no hat!! It was freezing and raining that day! I made Robby turn around to get the rest of the our child's wardrobe. Finally, we get to church and Quinn was so upset going into the nursery that morning. He had a dirty diaper and I did not have wipes to change him. He HATES getting his diaper changed right now. I felt like the world's worst mom at this point. When we were are on way to our class I just broke down! After church, we went to eat lunch at Newks and all I wanted was Baked potato soup or broccoli cheese soup!! Yep...You guessed it!!............They had none of those available on Sunday! I was ready to hit someone at this point. I wanted to throw a pity party...oh wait, I did!
The next day, I found the Bible verse Quinn brought home from the nursery. This was after I stripped Quinn down to his diaper, because he poured the whole pitcher of Crystal light on him at 7:30 in the morning. ( LORD, HELP ME!!) The sweet, simple verse was God loves us. Proverbs 107:1. It's amazing how a simple verse can bring so much comfort. I stopped and reflected on those three simple words and I just prayed them over Quinn. I long for the day for Quinn to know Jesus. I want these words to resonate in his heart as he grows up and seeks the Lord. It is amazing how the Lord picked me up from my silly pity party to bring me encouragement through a simple, but powerful verse. GOD LOVES US!
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. Proverbs 107:1
