Last night when I was putting Desitin on Quinn it got in his mouth!! It got on his hand and then he stuck it in his mouth. It is so hard to change his diaper these days because he does not want to stay still, so I am always wrestling with him on the changing table. Anyways, the Desitin got in his mouth, so I was trying to get a wash cloth to get it out. Quinn was sooo mad at this point! Of course I read the back of the Desitin and it said, "If swallowed, contact poison control right away." I knew he did not swallow alot of it, but it was still bugging me that he swallowed a little bit. So.....Yes I did......I called the poison control number to get a peace of mind. The guy's name was Nile and he reassured me that a little bit would not hurt him. I felt much better!!
This morning I was taking a shower, and I locked Quinn in the bathroom with me. It is getting real difficult to do anything because he is EVERYWHERE and into EVERYTHING. As I was watching him through the glass he was getting in the bathroom cabinets. This time it was not a tampon; it was my lovely Root Booster. At first, I was letting him play with it until I realized I did not want to call Nile the poison guy again if he gets it in his mouth!! I hopped out of the shower for like the third time to take it out of his hand. FINALLY, I just placed him into the bathtub with a few toys, so I could finish my shower in peace. This will be his temporary play pen when I am showering for now on!!
