A Toddler

I can't believe my baby is classified as a toddler now. I had no clue until I received emails from the baby center, and went to his one year check up. By the way, no one informed on how awful that one year check up was going to be. After 5 shots and a finger prick I thought Quinn was going to disown me as his mother. Don't get me wrong..... I am very grateful for the shots and I would give him 10 more shots to prevent him from any deadly illnesses. It was just a rough appointment.

Anyways, back on how my sweet baby is a toddler now. I still think Quinn looks like a baby, but I am now seeing how much he is growing physically and cognitively. We were at HEB yesterday and we passed some balls that were in a cage/bin and he cried out, "BOP!" ( Ball) He was so excited to see the balls and was reaching for them. I acknowledged him and then moved on. He started crying because he really wanted a ball. We have been to HEB weekly since we moved here and he has never noticed the ball cage!! Then, we entered the produce aisle and he cried out "BOP" to everything. (apples, peaches, onions, garlic, head of lettuce) He thought he was in ball heaven. It was so funny!! That's when it hit me....Quinn is a TODDLER! :)

One year appointment STATS....

Weight: 20.3 lbs

Height: 281/2 inches

No teeth ( I need everyone to start praying that he gets a tooth soon)

He is crawling, climbing, standing, walking with his walker

He is drinking Cows milk 3 times a day. ( Great transition)

He is eating well. (Favorites: cheese, fruit, chicken, turkey, yogurt)
